Used cooking oil collection across the North East
In the North East we collect across Tyne and Wear (Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland), County Durham (Durham, Darlington and Hartlepool) and Middlesbrough, which is in North Yorkshire.
Newcastle's Bigg Market, Quayside and Ouseburn are packed with bars and restaurants. Its two universities, along with Durham's, bring large student populations and busy term-time takeaway trade. Gateshead is home to the MetroCentre and big event venues. Sunderland and Hartlepool have a strong fish and chip tradition along the coast. Middlesbrough is known for the chicken parmo, a deep-fried Teesside favourite that means plenty of fryer oil in local takeaways.
We collect waste cooking oil from chip shops, pubs, hotels, hospital and school kitchens, and food manufacturers across the North East. You get free containers, regular collections and a waste transfer note every visit. We pay a rebate on 100 litres or more, and your first collection is usually within 1 to 7 days.
