Flexible cooking oil collection for Stockport businesses
Whether you fill one drum of used fryer oil a month or several a week, we set your collection frequency to match your kitchen. There are no callout fees and no contracts to tie you in.
Collections under 100 litres are free, and from 100 litres upwards we pay a rebate based on oil quality and the current biodiesel price. Recycling your old fryer oil into biodiesel cuts greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared with mineral diesel and keeps fats, oils and grease out of the drains.
Stockport oil collection FAQs
Legally, all you have to do is keep any of the oil off the ground so that it doesn’t contaminate groundwater, drains and sewers.
Failing to do so can result in prosecution as it can cause major issues to wildlife and infrastructure. We always suggest keeping waste oil out of sight, away from drains and propped up against a wall.
Not only is waste oil considerably cheaper to have collected compared to other services, such as refuse or glass recycling, but we offer to pay you for amounts over 100L too! The amount depends on how much oil we collect and how regularly we collect it, as well as the price of biodiesel at the point of processing.
Biodiesel is the name given to any fuel made from repurposed materials to act as fuel in a compression engine. Pure biodiesel (also called B100) contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any level with regular diesel to create a biodiesel blend.
It can be used in compression-ignition (diesel) engines with little or no modifications. Biodiesel is simple to use, biodegradable, nontoxic, almost odourless and essentially free of sulphur and aromatics.
We collect oil from Stockport and the wider Greater Manchester area.
We service any commercial kitchen. That is businesses such as pubs, restaurants , takeaways, and also public services like schools, hospitals and care homes. We also service large producers like food manufacturers
